Unemployment Benefits

If you are a resident of the state of New Jersey and are presently unemployed, then you better check out www.njuifile.net. This is the official site of New Jersey’s Department of Labor and Workforce Development and is dedicated for those who are qualified to receive NJ unemployment benefits. Here are the available services that you will find on the website.

File or Re-open your UI Claim

If you have filed for an insurance claim in the past but were not approved to receive the unemployment benefits, then the section on the site that you need to go to is the “File or Re-open your UI Claim”. This tab is clearly visible on the homepage of the NJ unemployment benefits site, and when you click on this tab, you will be taken to a new page that will ask you for some information regarding your claim.

Claim Inquiry

Another useful link that you will find on the NJ unemployment benefits website is the “Claim Inquiry”. If you have already submitted your claim yet you still have not received any response, then this is where you should click. If you click on this tab, you will be taken to a page that will ask you to provide certain information about your claims. Provide the details asked and the system will give you the status of your claim.

Weekly Benefit Payment Claim

For those who need to claim their weekly benefits, then they should refer to the tab on the NJ unemployment benefits site that says “weekly benefit payment claim.” Take note that this service can only be accessed from 7AM to 6PM Eastern Time, from Monday to Friday, and 8AM until 3PM during Saturdays and Sundays. For those who have changed their address within the state of New Jersey, then they should make use of the address that they have provided when they first logged their application for NJ unemployment benefits.
